Innovations are a UK distributor of Ytong VHP non-load
bearing panels, designed to span vertically between
two floors or horizontally between two columns or shear
wall. Solid partition walls with little weight, they
can be erected quickly and easily. The prefabricated
panels are simply dry-assembled on site, and offer exceptional
insulation and energy savings. The high thermal insulation
guarantees low energy consumption in winter, and even
helps to keep temperatures down in summer making the
entire building more comfortable.
Compared
with concrete, the same thickness of panel provides
remarkable fire protection. After around 6 hours with
a 1000˚C fire on one side of normal concrete, the
temperature next door will be 270˚C. On the other
side of the aerated concrete, however, the temperature
is a much more manageable 68˚C. This protects highly
flammable goods from spontaneous combustion, and vice-versa
- should flammable materials combust for any reason,
the fire will be much easier to contain.
